There aren't words good enough to express my gratitude to all of you who pitched in to make our first Uke Fest such a success.  It was just as I had hoped it would be...so much fun to see excited participants, newbies, and just people hanging out sharing techniques and songs. I am deeply appreciative of how everyone stepped up and made this work and hope you'll forgive me for rushing around like a mad woman at times. (okay, most of the time).  The greatest thing I learned from this experience was what a wonderful support group we are.  We all should celebrate what we pulled off...many new people are now aware of Gilda's Club, lots of newbies will be making music (including our own executive director; Laura) and we will be able to continue with our summer uke youth program. Earlier this year several members contributed $150 to our 2015 Youth Uke Fund.  The Uke Fest brought in $1141 for a total of $1291.
